Michael Cherry

Assistant Principal

Mr. Michael Cherry brings 12 years of experience in the education field primarily in the Early Years setting. He began his teaching career as a Grade 3 Teacher at Alexander First nation School. He also taught Grade 3, Grade 7 Science and Outdoor Education at Alexis Reserve School before joining PSD. He’s been with the Millgrove School community since 2013 where he’s taught Grade 1 and Grade 3. Mr. Cherry has served as an Administrative Team Member and Acting Admin Role at Millgrove and assumed the role as Technology Lead for the school.

Mr. Cherry earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta in 2011. He also earned a Masters of Education in Early Elementary Pedagogy from St. Francis Xavier University as well as a Graduate Certificate in School Leadership from the University of Alberta and participated in PSD’s Leadership Cohort.
