Parkland County Christmas Hamper Campaign!
Good morning,
Once again as the holiday season approaches, the Spruce Grove Kinette volunteers are working towards the 50th Annual Christmas Hamper campaign. In the spirit of giving and in hopes of making this season a little brighter for those in need, classrooms are asked to help collect donations for local families. Your generous contributions to our program help us ensure quality hampers are distributed in our community. Last year, we were able to assist 656 families in Spruce Grove and East Parkland County!
Each family that receives a Christmas hamper will receive an ‘upsized’ December food hamper distributed by the Parkland Foodbank, Gift Cards for non perishable food items and gifts for children aged 17 and under.
This year, we are asking your school to collect gift cards in $25.00 denominations for local grocery stores along with new unwrapped gifts for children aged 17 and under. We know that teens can be hard to buy for and will distribute gift cards to those aged 10 to 17. Gift cards from local businesses work best for our clients in $25 denominations.
Items will be accepted until Friday, December 8th at your school. Your school will then be bringing the donations to our collection site on Monday, December 11th so that we may assemble the hampers and distribute to the families in need this Christmas. We will also be looking for volunteers to help deliver the classroom items over to the Alliance Church on Monday, December 11 at 9:30 am. Please email our school at millgrove@psd.ca if you are interested in helping.
Thank you in advance for your continued and amazing support with this local Christmas Hamper campaign.
It truly makes a difference to these families over the holidays!
