Full-time Kindergarten Survey

January 8, 2025 - Millgrove School is exploring the possibility of offering a full-time kindergarten program similar to the one offered at a handful of schools in Parkland School Division. This program would provide students with a full-day, every-day kindergarten experience, combining morning classroom learning focused on curricular outcomes with afternoons dedicated to student-led, inquiry-based, nature-centered activities.

Program Overview:

• Schedule: Full-day, every day
• Focus: Morning - Classroom learning and curricular outcomes; Afternoon - Student-led, nature-based inquiry learning
• Cohorts: Students registered in one class cohort for the entire program
• Cost: $425/month per child
• Deposit: $850 due at the time of registration
• Priority Registration: Given to students within Millgrove School's attendance area; open to others if spaces are available
• Operation: Program will run on a cost-recovery basis, requiring sufficient registrations and deposits
• Transportation: Busing will be available for students living within the Millgrove boundary with payment of a full-time rider fee. For students living in Spruce Grove but outside of the Millgrove boundary, bus transportation cannot be provided.
